What is a slide cart?
A slide cart (also called a slide-out cart or cart drawer) is a panel that slides in from the side of the screen when a shopper adds a product. Unlike the default Shopify cart page, it keeps the shopper on the page they were browsing, which means less drop-off and more upsell opportunities.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. Cartylabs injects the slide cart via a script tag and works alongside any Shopify theme including Dawn, Prestige, Impulse, and custom themes. If there's a conflict with your existing theme cart, our support team will resolve it for free.
Will the slide animation affect my site speed?
No. The slide cart is loaded asynchronously and uses GPU-accelerated CSS animations. Your Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID) are not impacted.
Can I keep the cart page as a fallback?
Yes. The standard Shopify cart page (/cart) remains active. You can link to it from the checkout button, or disable it entirely. Your choice.
